Good morning folks
I trust you had a most splendid weekend and that this finds you in tiptop form.
A bit of a shortened Espresso version this week.
Internet issues :-/
The full-length nonsense rambling should be back next week.
Here is the weekly Monday morning Superclunk.com blog…
Well, with the Copa Mundial under a week away, things here are going barmy!
After disposing of Saudi Arabia 3:0 last week, the Blanquirrojas took on Sweden on Saturday, in the last pre-World-cup-friendly before Saturday’s curtain-opener against Denmark, drawing 0:0.
If the form book carries any clout in football, Sweden had previously drawn 0:0 against Denmark and the USA drew 1:1 with France, with the Aussies beating Hungary.
(Peru are in a group with Denmark, France and the Socceroos).
However, friendlies are not really a good indication, so don’t go putting your house on any of the above!
Each game is being treated like the World Cup final here, next Saturday will be bonkers!
The national side have now gone 14 games without a defeat. All to play for in Russia!
Although I cannot say too much right now, on a similar vein I was involved with the filming of a commercial this week. Unfortunately my lips are sealed, I am bound to secrecy.
It will either be good, or I will have to change my name and have plastic surgery!
It did remind me of the “No more Catholics left” scene in Trainspotting II.
Watch this space
It never rains, it pours and all that!
If my running problems last week were a slow puncture, this week there are 4 completely flat tyres and the wheels have fallen off!
The week didn’t begin too well when I discovered that the Physio exercises I had been doing at home were completely wrong, I did think they seemed a bit too easy.
The bigger problem this week was my back, it went, the bad back is back
I have had back problems for about 10 years, ever since slipping on some black ice, I used to spend half my wage on Chiropractors for a time, but I had been ok for about 4 years, until Tuesday. I don’t know what triggered it, but it is geoffed, properly.
That bucket of fitness I keep trying to fill has more than a few holes in it nowadays.
With just 6 weeks to go until the UT69 (Llangunuco Mountain Trial), I am definitely up against it.
Hoping for miracles to be honest…
Most of my blog material comes from day-to-day happenings.
No two days are ever the same here, something unexpected usually happens, usually in a chaotic way.
Lina kindly gave me her old phone, but being the complete buffoon that I am, when I transferred everything across, I lost everything, including my photos.
Sadly there was no “Actually, no I wasn’t sure, can I go back, I screwed up” button which could undo what I did, so any pics that were to be included were instantly wiped into oblivion.
I do often consider going back to my Nokia. Next time I will be more careful…
A convincing 20:6 win over Rochdale Hornets at home for the mighty Shipbuilders was just what the doctor ordered.
Away to the Flat-cappers at Post Office road next week will be a test though.
Onwards and upwards!
Ever have problems getting ready in a morning?
It is just not working for this poor chap!
That’s all for now folks.
Have a fandabadozee week
Johnny, Lina and the Nipper
P.S. I did write an article for my good friends at ALPKIT.COM this week!
If you have 5 minutes, you can read it HERE
